The BLM is hiring for over 100 California wildland firefighter positions

The Bureau of Land Management has more than 100 vital wildland firefighter positions and various supporting positions available throughout the state for the 2025 fire year. Applicants are encouraged to attend one of the five in-person events that are happening around the state – including one in Apple Valley starting today (12/12).

During the events, staff will be on-site to review resumes, process applications, conduct interviews, and potentially make job offers.

The BLM will be hiring wildland firefighters for engines, hotshots, handcrews, helitack and various supporting positions. A summary of these types of positions is available on the National Interagency Fire Center’s wildland fire job page.

The event in Apple Valley run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily and goes through Saturday, December 14th.
