Stroll through water-wise landscapes at the JBWD Demonstration Gardens

The Joshua Basin Water District has opened the gates to their water-wise demonstration garden. Native plants are naturally hardy to our arid environment, and the demonstration garden consists of 5 themed mini-gardens to inspire you to use beautiful water-wise plants that flourish in our desert ecosystem.

Stroll through the Native and Wildlife Garden, Desert Ranch Garden, and the Mediterranean, Thornless and Rock-Sloped Gardens. Each one is set up to show you how you can get the most out of your landscape, while protecting the desert’s precious water supply.

The demonstration garden is free and the gates are open to the public during general business hours. If you’d like a more guided journey through the native plants – free docent-led tours can be set up on any day of the week by contacting the District Office in advance.

The Joshua Basin Water District main office at 61750 Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
