Soroptimist International of Yucca Valley is offering the “Live Your Dream Scholarship Program” to women with primary financial responsibility for themselves and their dependents who are attending an undergraduate degree program or a vocational skills training program and have a financial need.
Live Your Dream Awards give women the resources to improve their education, skills, and employment opportunities, ultimately improving their family and community prospects. Qualified applicants have until December 15 to log on to the Soroptimist website portal and fill out the brief application.
Award recipients can use the scholarship grant for various purposes, so long as the ultimate goal is to advance their education. For example, a recipient could put the funds toward purchasing books or use them to pay tuition costs.
Other uses include paying for child care so the recipient can attend class or transportation to and from school. In addition, $3,600.00 has been raised for these awards through various service projects performed by the club members and private donations.
