Second Saturday Art Crawl tonight in Joshua Tree

It’s going to be a beautiful warm night in the Morongo Basin, with the Perseid meteors falling in the night sky above us and lots to do down here on earth.

Joshua Tree’s Second Saturday Art Crawl starts at 6pm tonight in downtown Joshua Tree galleries – most within an easy stroll from each other.

At Art Queen, local artist, writer, and Copper Mountain College paining professor Chloe Alfred’s extraordinary exhibit “Internal Echo: Desert Visions and Dreamscapes” takes us on a journey where dreams and insights merge with the environment to create whimsical scenarios. The show will run until October 1st, with opening reception from 6-8 on Saturday August 12th.

La Matadora Gallery is having the second installment of their Defiled Thrift Store Art Party from 6-9pm, featuring more than 30 artists from near and far.

And Hey There Projects premieres its Whirligigs, Bird Houses, and More show.
