Second Saturday Art Crawl in Joshua Tree tonight (6/14)

Coyote Little features artist Rene Pickup and jewelry designer Clay Sixty-Two, with drinks provided by Desert Midnight Lemonade. In celebration of Pride Month, Coyote Little is presenting a special installation called “Love and Light Rainbow Room,” created by Tonya Van Parys, honoring Tonya’s late friend Jaxon Cat Williams, a passionate advocate for transgender and gay rights.

La Matadora will be taken over by the artist-run, woman-owned, unconventionally curated Trash Lamb Gallery, with opening reception from 5:00-9:00 p.m.

Hey There Projects presents House Party, their six-year anniversary featuring various artists who have shown work in the gallery for over half a decade. Opening reception from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

The Beatnik Lounge presents their “Queerated” group art show, queer artists from across the High Desert, with live performances by Kwonyin, Nyck, and Lauren plus refreshments. Reception starts at 6:00 p.m., live performances at 8:00 p.m.

Gabriel Hart is an author and journalist from Morongo Valley, CA. He was a finalist for the 2024 Golden Mic Awards for his continuous reporting on the Morongo Valley Community Services District. His punk-noir novel On High at Red Tide is out now from Pig Roast Publishing, and he's the editor-in-chief/publisher of Beyond the Last Estate, a print-only magazine featuring "creative reporting on contemporary literature."
