SCHOOL BOARD MEETS TONIGHT WITH PRESENTATIONS ON COVID POLICIES

The Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees will hold their regularly-scheduled meeting tonight. The meeting begins early at 4:30 p.m. with work study sessions to review student achievement plans and district finances. The board then moves to closed session at 5:50 p.m. to hold a discussion on the district’s Superintendent position and conference with labor negotiators and legal council. The Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees will meet tonight at Joshua Tree Elementary School (4950 Sunburst Ave.) with open session beginning at 7 p.m. As part of the busy agenda, the Board will hear presentations on COVID-19 protocols in schools and for athletes and coaches. The Board will also ratify the Class of 2020 high school graduates in addition to approving the School Plans for Student Achievement for Yucca Valley Elementary School, Twentynine Palms High School, the PLUS Program, and the Academy for College and Career Excellence.
