San Bernardino County wants to help you do your taxes
The 2025 tax season is here. This year in San Bernardino County the tax filing deadline date is the April 15th – no automatic extensions this year, although there are always options to defer your taxes past the tax day deadline.
Good news to those who find the task daunting or even unapproachable. If you make less than $69,000 a year there is a group of IRS-certified volunteers ready to help you prepare your tax return for free.
The services began on January 26th. The county’s Transitional Assistance Department has locations all over the county – and there is an office here in Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms. Tax-smart volunteers can help you fill out your forms and claim the state and federal earned income tax credits.
Start getting prepared now, gather your W2s as they come in, all your 1099’s and any other tax-related income forms, your government ID and last years tax returns.
You can call 877-410-8829 to schedule an appointment for the program.
