San Bernardino County broke records this year winning 82 awards from the National Association of Counties (NACo) for innovative, effective county government programs that strengthen services for residents. It was the most NACo awards won in the United States. The Public Health Department and its staff were awarded an astounding thirty-three awards, and the Department of Behavioral Health won ten NACo Awards on their own and in collaboration with other County departments for providing extraordinary mental health services at a time of great need.
Since 2010, San Bernardino County has won 523 NACo Awards – an incredible achievement over the past 12 years.
