San Bernardino County Fire presents free Girls Empowerment Camp

San Bernardino County Fire is presenting a Girl’s Empowerment Camp this October at the Richard Sewell Training Center in the city of San Bernardino.

The San Bernardino County Girl’s Empowerment camp is a free, two-day camp to be held October 8th and 9th at Richard Sewell’s Training Center, located at 2824 “W” Street in the city of San Bernardino. The camp will teach various aspects of fire service and provide professional guidance for pursuing a career in public safety for young women ages 12 and up, though all genders are welcome.

This two-day event will feature hands-on activity stations for campers to gain familiarity and experience with basic fire service functions. The activity stations will introduce rope usage, knot tying, CPR and first aid, ladder climbing, confidence building, and hose handling. The camp will conclude with a short graduation ceremony for families to attend at the end of the second day.
