REPORT OF SUSPECTED ELDER ABUSE RESULTS IN SIX ARRESTS

A report of suspected elder abuse in Joshua Tree Sunday, June 5 resulted in the arrest of six suspects on a list of charges, including attempted murder, felony possession of firearm, obstructing a peace officer, felony altered firearms, and parole and probation violations.
San Bernardino County Deputies responded to the 6000 block of Caterbury in Joshua Tree at about 12:30 p.m. on a report of an elder male unable to care for himself. Deputies arrived to conduct a welfare check and contacted Lee Schoenherr, the property owner with a caretaker. Caretaker Tiffany Oesterblad came out and spoke with deputies. Oesterblad was found to be on active parole and in violation.
Justin Mason and Eddie Barragan attempted to flee and a gun was found near Mason as he fled. Mason had an arrest warrant for a Joshua Tree attempted murder. Eddie Barragan was apprehended and on active probation. Ondria Ramirez had an outstanding felony warrant, and Jordan Fister a misdemeanor warrant.
A search warrant was served on the property and additional firearms were located. Tiffany Oesterblad, Ondria Ramirez, Eddie Barragan, Justin Mason, Jorda Fister and Lee Schoenherr were all arrested on various charges.
