PRIDE 29 celebrating Hi Desert’s LGBTQ+ community April 6-8

Sponsored by Rediscover 29, PRIDE 29 will be Twentynine Palms’ first Pride event, April 6-8, with a goal of focusing on “love and inclusion.” Multiple scheduled events will lead up to the big party on Saturday, April 8, at Freedom Plaza. 

On Thursday, April 6, the festivities begin with Drag Bingo, hosted by Lady Chilane of 29, from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. at the Out There Bar, 73839 Twentynine Palms Highway. The free event is open to everyone (21+) with pizza from I Fall to Pizzas.

On Friday, April 7, check out Family Feud Night with Pattycakes from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Rocky’s New York Style Pizzeria, 73737 Twentynine Palms Hwy. 

Also, on Friday, April 7, there’s the “Queer Past Lear Comedy Night” from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the White Label Vinyl/Hi-Desert Daydream Outdoor Patio, 73515 Twentynine Palms Hwy. The line-up includes Ever Mainard, Brian Bahe, Dylan Adler, and Jared Goldstein. This is an 18+ ticketed event with admission price $15-$25. Pizza, beer and wine hosted by GRND SQRL.

On Saturday, April 8, check out the 29 Palms Pride Mini Golf Tournament from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Mojaveland, 5157 Adobe Road. Teams of 2-4 people can play the 13-hole, artist-designed course for $5 per player. Registration is required – check out the link below:

The Saturday night crescendo of the Pride 29 weekend is at Freedom Plaza, 6547 Freedom Way, starting with live music by The Wonder People at 4:00 p.m., followed by a drag show with Los Angeles-based Landon Cider and friends, including Las Vegas-based Prada Roche, hosted by MC Patrick “Pattycakes” Pierre. 

DJ Kate McCabe will host a silent disco from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
