PREPARE FOR A LOT OF CONSTRUCTION COMING TO TWENTYNINE PALMS

In last night’s meeting, the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission warned of more construction heading for the city next year. Reporter Cassidy Zimarik has the story…

In their regular meeting Tuesday, the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission unanimously approved the site plan and design construction for an O’Reilly Auto Parts on the corner of Larrea Avenue and Highway 62. After permits are in place, the project will take about five months to construct.

Community Devolvement Director, Travis Clark, also noted that you can expect to see a lot of construction in the city next year as various projects move forward with construction, including Project Phoenix, which is still missing a purchase order from Frontier to begin building.

The Planning Commission still plans to apply for the fourth and final round of funds from California’s Proposition 68 Bond Act. The funds would be used to build Pioneer Park as well as improve Knott’s Sky Park.
