Four high desert artists have been selected to create trophies for the Outhouse Races at the 86th Annual Pioneer Days.

Earlier in the summer, the City of Twentynine Palms and Rediscover 29 put out a call for artists to design trophies for the infamous Outhouse Races. Each trophy will be a wooden toilet seat designed by local artists. The event has tapped the talents of renowned local artists, Elaine Bron, Valerie Mead, Laurel Siedel, and Sephora Woldu, who will each elevate a humble toilet seat with their fine art. There are still a few trophies left to design, so local artists are welcome apply to participate by calling 760.367.6799. Registration is now open for teams to sign up for the Outhouse Races and win one of these trophies.
