NOMINATION PERIOD FOR THREE YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL SEATS NOW OPEN

The Yucca Valley Town Council elections for Councilmembers for Districts One, Three, and Five will occur in November. Candidates must be registered voters within the given District and willing to serve the community.

The City Council comprises five members elected by the city’s residents to serve four-year terms and is responsible for implementing the town’s programs and services. The Council is also responsible for hearing local citizens concerns. Any eligible person running for a seat on the Town Council must file nomination papers with the Town Clerk at the Yucca Valley Town Hall during regular working hours.

The nomination period is July 18 to August 19. Mayor Schooler from District One, Merl Abel from District Three, and Rick Dennison from District Five have announced their intention to seek re-election.
