A fundraiser for the Twentynine Palms Historical Society will be set within the Twentynine Palms Public Cemetery, celebrating the city’s residents, both certainly-alive and allegedly-dead.

The Twentynine Palms Historical Society and the Twentynine Palms Public Cemetery will join forces on Saturday, October 1 for a Victorian-themed event, “Night at the Museum.”

Any brave, curious soul interested in attending should gather at the cemetery garden at 5350 Encelia Avenue in Twentynine Palms at 5:00 p.m. After a brief musical interlude, guests will meet five ghostly spirits – all interred at the cemetery – who have graciously returned to our earthly awareness with vivid stories about Twentynine Palms and the surrounding area.

All survivors will then head to Founders Hall at the Old Schoolhouse Museum, 6760 National Park Drive, where they’ll enjoy unique appetizers and hear more stories from the ancestors of Twentynine Palms pioneers.

Tickets are limited and can be purchased at the museum during regular hours, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Cost is $60 for society members and $75 for non-members. Historical society memberships start at $25 and may also be purchased at the museum.
