Cal Trans supposedly has grant money for infrastructure and transportation planning. Karl Gardner gets to the bottom
line -----
Even with the State Budget in total shambles, Cal-Trans has millions of dollars that it will dole out to local governments, transit agencies, and tribal governments. Cal-Trans officials say they have 9.2 dollars million in grants for transportation planning and to revitalize neighborhoods, aiming to spur economic development. Yucca Valley’s Deputy Town Manager Shane Stuckle said that Town Staff will be looking into applying for some of the state money, but it’s unknown what projects the town has in the wings that will fit grant specifics.
