Yucca Valley residents will see new waste collection bins rolling out over the next few years as Burrtec moves to meet state requirements that reduce organic materials in landfills. The new bins will be clearly labeled and color-coded green for organic materials, blue for recyclables, and gray for inorganic and nonrecyclable trash. Residents who start a new service or who request a replacement cart from Burrtec will receive the new cart system immediately. Continuing Burrtec customers will receive the green carts once the Town’s organic program is implemented, and will continue to use the burgundy and gray carts for trash and recycling until they are swapped out for the new system.
