The Morongo Valley Community Services District Board of Directors will be holding their regular meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. in Covington Park’s multipurpose room.
For the meeting’s agenda, Morongo Valley residents have come together to nominate and award the Volunteer of the Year for the MVCSD Chuck Osborne Award. It is recommended that the Board of Directors review, discuss, and approve the 2024 Chuck Osborne Award winner.
It is recommended that the Board review, discuss, and approve further action for the Community Relations Ad Hoc Committee, which would be composed of two or more members of the board for monthly community gatherings to spread information regarding the CSD and answer questions from the public.
Each year Morongo Valley residents come together to nominate and award the Volunteer of the Year for the MVCSD Chuck Osborne Award. It is recommended that the Board of Directors review, discuss, and approve the 2024 Chuck Osborne Award winner.
To enhance transparency to the public by showcasing the district’s accomplishments throughout 2024, it is recommended that the Board of Directors review, discuss, and approve a year in review for the district’s social media.
The Board will also review and discuss the feasibility and likelihood of partnering with MBA to have an ambulance staffed in the Morongo Valley Fire Department.
Finally, staff is seeking authorization to acquire a woodchipper from Richard Brewer of the Morongo Valley Fire Safe Council. This woodchipper would be highly beneficial for park maintenance operations, as it can efficiently convert tree branches into mulch, which can then be recycled back into the park. It is recommended that the Board of Directors review, discuss and approve the acquisition of the woodchipper.
