For the meeting’s agenda, action items include recommending that the Board discuss, review, and approve Smith, Marion, and Co’s audit engagement letter. To reduce the use of paper checks, the Board will explore the prospects of utilizing Quickbooks bill pay.
After recently approving the use of a collection agency for non-residents, the Board will discuss revising current collection procedures and revenue tracking. The Board will discuss an Instructional Services Agreement between the Morongo Valley Fire Department and Copper Mountain College, allowing full financial support to new employees aiming to complete their firefighter certificate. Repairs are needed for the fire station’s bay door and wall, after an accidental back-up from a fire vehicle, and the Board will discuss purchasing materials to fix.
In honor of former Morongo Fire Chief James Brakebill, the Board will discuss a Resolution in appreciation of his exemplary service, as well as planning an official retirement ceremony where he will receive an official retirement badge.
