During tonight’s regular session meeting of the Morongo Unified School District, the board of trustees will recognize district employees and retirees for years of service in the district.
As the school year winds down, the Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees will meet in regular session tonight at Joshua Tree Elementary School with closed session beginning at 6:30 p.m. and open session beginning at 7:00 p.m. The trustees will conference with labor negotiators from the Morongo Teachers Association and the California School Employees Association, as well as legal counsel.
During open session, employees who served in the district for 20 to 35 years will be recognized. The Board will also recognize district employees who recently retired or plan to retire this year.
Later, the trustees will hear a presentation regarding the A-G Completion Grant, and they will vote to approve the paperwork to delegate Dr. Patricio Vargas as District Superintendent. They will also hold a public hearing on the 2022-2023 Special Education Local Plan Area, or SELPA, annual budget, which they will vote to adopt later in the meeting.
