With the 2021-2022 school year officially behind us, the Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees will meet in regular session tonight at Joshua Tree Elementary School with closed session beginning at 5:15 p.m. and open session beginning at 7:00 p.m. During closed session, the trustees will conference with legal counsel and labor negotiators.
Immediately following closed session, the board will hold an open work-study session to discuss the 2022-2023 Local Control Accountability Plan, or LCAP, and the Budget Overview for Parents.
Later, during open session, the board will hold a public hearing for the LCAP and the Budget Overview. The will also recognize Joni Delgado, Account Technician, as the School Nutrition Associations’ Employee of the Year, for the State of California and the Western Region of the United States.
There are also several action items scheduled, including votes to approve the A-G Completion Improvement Grant Plan and to extend the district’s contract with Burrtec Waste and Recycling for the 2022-2023 school year. The trustees will also vote to authorize a new five-year contract term with Merit Oil Company, piggybacking the gasoline and diesel fuel contract though the County of San Bernardino
