MUSD Board of Trustees to authorize two costly projects from SchoolWorks Inc. at regular meeting tonight

The Morongo Unified School District Board of Trustees will hold their regular 6PM meeting tonight (November 14th) at Joshua Tree Elementary.

For tonight’s meeting agenda, SchoolWorks Inc. has proposed two costly projects for MUSD: the Demographics, Enrollment Projections and Boundary Study for $18,000 with an estimated completion of three months, and the District Facilities Master Plan and Needs Assessment for $190,915.00 with an estimated six months for completion. The Board is requested to authorize both projects. The Board is requested to authorize a contact with Kristine Clayton to provide Speech Language Pathology Services. Clayton holds a license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board and a master’s degree in speech pathology, and if the Board approves the contract, it will assist the district in meeting state requirements for K-12 education.

The Board is requested to designate December 12, 2023, as its annual reorganization meeting. The Board will also authorize applications for Provisional Internship Permits on behalf of four different teachers and adopt the 2023-2024 School Plans for Student Achievement for all MUSD schools.
