At their meeting Wednesday, May 18th, the Morongo Valley CSD Board of Directors approved a grand reopening and dedication of Covington Park for Friday, June 10. Board members also approved a public budget workshop for Tuesday May 24, at 6:00 PM at Covington Park. The Board approved creating an ad hoc committee to decide the proposed location of a radio tower and a community center committee for better utilization of the Center. Fire Apparatus Engineer Jacob Samu of the Morongo Valley Fire Department gave a talk reminding residents we’re in wildfire season and gave tips on making homes and properties less vulnerable to wildland fires.
