The Morongo Basin Healthcare District is holding a special meeting tonight (october 17) to appoint a Director to its board. Four candidates have applied to fill the vacant seat on the MBHD Board of Directors, and each of them have met the requirements for the position and are residents of the district’s geographic boundaries.
The board will consider appointing one of the following candidates: Kathy Ashkins from Yucca Valley, Stephanie Ballard from Joshua Tree, Pam Kersey from Yucca Valley, and Heidi Stiemsma from Joshua Tree. The board will interview each candidate and vote on who should fill the open seat.
The meeting begins tonight at 6 p.m., and will be held both online and in person, at the Healthcare District’s office at 6530 La Contenta Road, Suite 400 in Yucca Valley.
