MORONGO BASIN EARLY VOTING FOR GUBERNATORIAL RECALL ELECTION

Voting in the September 14 California Gubernatorial Recall Election has started. The County Registrar of Voters delivered ballots to the U.S. Postal Service for the county’s 1.1 million active registered voters. Voters do not have to wait for Election Day or wait to receive a ballot in the mail to vote early. Gary Daigneault has the details…

Voters can get and cast a ballot now at the Registrar of Voters office in San Bernardino during regular business hours. Locally, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 7, an early vote site will open in Joshua Tree from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday, Sept. 11 and on Monday, Sept. 13. An early vote site is just one of four ways to cast a ballot, voters may also return their voted ballot by mail for free, postmarked on or before Tuesday, Sept. 14. There are 70 mail ballot drop-off locations throughout the county, to find a location use the Mail Ballot Drop-Off Locations tool at www.SBCountyElections.com. On Tuesday, Sept. 14, voters may also cast their ballots from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at their neighborhood polling place. Eligible citizens who have not previously voted may register to vote online or with a paper voter registration application until Monday, Aug. 30.
