Unpredictable weather and monsoon activity can happen anytime, anywhere, drastically affecting driving conditions. To prevent flood-related deaths, avoid flood waters, and never drive around barriers blocking flooded roads. Always check travel conditions for wildfires and road closures. In heavy downpours, pull to the side if you cannot see, but do not keep brake or hazard lights on.
Above all, slow down to avoid hydroplaning and other vehicles, and when you encounter a flash flood, do not attempt to cross it–Turn around, don’t drown.
