Monkeypox cases in San Bernardino county remain low

Monkeypox cases remain low in San Bernardino County.

The Department of Public Health added a new case counter to the County’s monkeypox website so concerned residents can track the spread of the virus locally. Monkeypox spreads primarily through direct contact with infectious sores, scabs, or body fluids, or by touching materials used by an infected person. It can also spread through respiratory secretions during prolonged, close, face-to-face contact.

The County has created a dedicated monkeypox email address, [email protected], for those who have additional questions. Individuals interested in the vaccine may complete the Monkeypox Vaccine Interest Form.
