Mil-tree – a veteran-led nonprofit here in Joshua Tree – is holding a movie screening this Sunday at 4PM at Furstwurld in Joshua Tree.
From the Veteran’s Journey Home Series – “Kalani’s Story” follows Marine Captain Kalani Creutzburg’s battle with post-military life and his journey toward wholeness with a new mission to guide his civilian life.
The documentary is directed by Frederick Mark who also worked on the award-winning Hoop Dreams – and he’ll be doing a Q&A session after the film.
There is a requested donation of $10, but no one in-need will be turned away from the film screening. Mil-Tree says the film is a great opportunity for the community to be more informed about the plight of some of our returning military, as well as an event that can inspire and encourage our local veterans and service-members.
