MAJORITY OF YUCCA VALLEY AND 29 PALMS COUNCIL SEATS RUNNING UNOPPOSED

Five of six incumbents on the Yucca Valley Town Council and Twentynine Palms City Council are running unopposed for reelection in the upcoming November 8, general election. After conducting a nomination period in accordance with the California Elections Code, the following have declared and qualified their candidacy:

For Yucca Valley Town Council, running unopposed are:

  • Jim Schooler – District 1
  • Merl R. Abel – District 3
  • Rick Denison – District 5

For Twentynine Palms City Council, running unopposed are:

  • Danny Mintz – District 3
  • McArthur Wright – District 5

For 29 Palms District 4

  • Karmolette O’Gilvie does have a challenger, Octavious Scott.
