LUNAFEST film festival coming to Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree

Copper Mountain College will host the film festival known as LUNAFEST on Wednesday, March 8, which is also International Women’s Day.

The festival describes their mission as sharing diverse perspectives can spark conversation, connection, and change through film and art. Totaling just ninety minutes seven short films from a diverse array of people includes stories about ice plunges, rock climbing, a muralist, two animated shorts, and more.

The first screening is at 11 a.m. and includes a free lunch for the first 50 attendees, as well as popcorn and LunaBars.

The second screening is at 6 p.m. offers complimentary popcorn from Soroptimist International of Yucca Valley, with nonalcoholic drinks and LunaBars.

The event is free, open to the public, and no advanced registration is necessary Both screenings will be held at the The Christine Proudfoot Student Activity Center at Copper Mountain College 6162 Rotary Way in Joshua Tree.
