Low-income resources available for internet, water, electric and gas

Internet:

The Affordable Connectivity Program is a way that some households can get free or discounted internet – both at home or mobile – along with a device to use. If you are already on government assistance like SNAP, SSI or Medicare – you automatically qualify – however you can also qualify for if you income is at or below double the poverty rate – that’s making $29,160 for a single household.

Water:

The Low-Income-Household Water Assistance Program can help household that have fallen behind on their water bills.

Joshua Basin Water District has held LIHWAP workshops this year, but the program can be applied to outside of the workshops.

Gas:

SoCalGas has a similar initiative to help those needing help on their gas bill – with a 20% monthly discount if you qualify, along with past bill forgiveness and energy-saving assistance.

Electricity:

Southern California Edison has discounted rates if your household qualifies – and their energy saving assistance program can even assist your household with energy saving appliances – discounted or free.
