After a year and a half of setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Landers Association will hold it’s Monthly Membership Meeting and Election of Board Officers and Directors tomorrow (September 18) at 3:00 p.m. Membership forms will be accepted at the meeting and prior to the election taking place. The meeting will be at Belfield Hall on Reche Road. For more on the event, visit this story at Z1077fm.com.
Our pandemic-delayed 2020 Board Election will finally take place this Saturday, September 18th, 3:00 p.m. at Belfield Hall. Nominations will still be taken from the floor prior to voting taking place. Due to not having regular Membership Meetings, the By-Laws requirement that one must be a Member in Good Standing for two (2) months prior to the election is being waived for this specific election. You can pay your 2021/2022 Membership Dues before the Membership Meeting this Saturday, and be eligible to vote in the election.
A huge thank you to the 2018 Board who agreed to continue serving in their elected positions until State and County mandates allowed us to hold gatherings/meetings. Three and one-half years instead of a two year term. A huge responsibility, commitment, and probably a lot of inconvenience. Thank you again!
Please make an effort to attend the Membership Meeting this Saturday so that you can vote in the election. There currently is no Absentee Ballot provision in our By-Laws. This is definitely something that needs to be reviewed by our soon to be appointed By-Laws Committee.
