Joshua Tree Shakespeare holds inaugural production “12th Night” this weekend at Joshua Tree Retreat Center

Newly established nonprofit performing arts organization Joshua Tree Shakespeare holds the premiere of their inaugural production, William Shakespeare’s timeless comedy Twelfth Night on Friday and Saturday at The Sanctuary at Joshua Tree’s Retreat Center, with performances at 7:30 PM each night.

Known for its witty humor and intricate romantic entanglements, this enchanting production of Twelfth Night will be performed in the serene and intimate setting of The Sanctuary, the perfect backdrop for Shakespeare’s classic tale of mistaken identities and unrequited love, performed by a diverse band of local talent.

Joshua Tree Shakespeare Artistic Director Charlie E. Walker said, “We are incredibly excited to launch Joshua Tree Shakespeare with such a beloved and vibrant production. Twelfth Night is a perfect choice for our debut, combining humor, romance, and a touch of the magical in an enchanting setting.”

As a special treat, guests are invited to enjoy pre-show entertainment starting at 6:30 featuring The Lady Chilane and more, with doors opening at 6:00. Tickets are $10 at the door. Due to limited seating, early reservations are encouraged.
