Joshua Tree Philharmonic seeking musicians and members

The Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s Joshua Tree Philharmonic (JPHIL) will be holding auditions for instrumentalists interested in joining and becoming members.

The philharmonic will be performing Christmas and holiday music arrangements December 8-11, 2022, and cover pops, classical, and contemporary genres. Auditions are by appointment only and will be held September 12 beginning at 5:30 pm at the Yucca Valley Visual & Performing Arts Center (58325 State Route 62) Alternate appointment dates may be scheduled upon availability.

Open to all instruments and musicians who demonstrate competency on their instrument, all orchestral parts are created and arranged for each musician in the orchestra. Individuals interested in auditioning for the philharmonic are required to sign up for a 15-minute time slot and be prepared to play music of their choosing that represents their proficiency. Weekly rehearsals take place Monday evenings beginning September 26, and there are no fees to participate.
