How you can help in search for missing hiker Trammell Evans

The search for missing hiker Trammell Evans continues, and his family is asking residents of and visitors to hi-desert communities to keep an eye out. The mother and brother of Trammell Evans say that the 25 year-old may be passing through or camping in and around communities surrounding Joshua Tree National Park.

Evans, a 25 year-old white male was last seen at Black Rock Campground on April 30, and declared missing on Saturday, May 5. Searches have continued through the last week.

His family told Z107.7 that Evans is an experienced long-distance hiker who is known to go off the grid and shutting down his phone. They are hopeful that Evans has hiked out of the park, and may be camping in or around Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, or Twentynine Palms.

They have also asked residents of Yucca Valley who live near Black Rock Campground, specifically on Covington Flat Road and La Contenta Road, and Black Rock Canyon Road to check any security camera footage they may have from May 1 through May 3.

Trammell Evans is described as a white male, 6’3”, 190 pounds, with brown eyes, brown/red hair, and facial hair
