Hi-Desert Artists Gallery holds auction this Friday (7/11)

The nonprofit Hi-Desert Artists Gallery are holding a live art auction this Friday (July 11) at its location in Old Town Yucca Valley. This event celebrates the launch of a silent and live auction fundraiser featuring over 100 donated works of art from more than 50 artists.

Guests will enjoy light refreshments while exploring a diverse collection of sculptures, paintings, jewelry, photography, prints, fiber art, ceramics, and mixed media. Notable contributions include pieces by Simi Dabah, Steve Rieman, Mike Smiley, Snake Jagger, RC Gorman, and Bev Doolittle, and other international artists.

The fundraiser features both a silent auction, which opens on June 18 via the online platform GiveButter, and a live auction scheduled for Friday, July 11, during a special gala event. A highlight of the live auction is a private performance by the local duo Cassa Zulu, consisting of John Zulu and Cassidy Sargent, who will present their unique fusion of English pop and Afrobeat to one fortunate bidder.

Prizes donated by local businesses, such as Rainbow Stew, Gubler Orchids, Joshua Tree Distilling Company, and The Beauty Bubble, enhance the excitement of the raffle.

Event sponsors include Z107.7 FM, Hi-Desert Publishing, Edward Jones, and Kevin and Cheyanne Savoy.
