HEAT WAVE AFFECTING BLOOD SUPPLIES

The blistering heat wave in southern California in July has had a deleterious effect on our local blood banks. LifeStream had to take several bloodmobiles out of service due to weather-related issues; in addition, many donors cancelled appointments citing the oppressive heat. But unfortunately, those who need blood don’t take a vacation during summer heat waves. The need for blood has never been greater. Lifestream’s permanent locations in San Bernardino, Riverside, Ontario, Victorville, and La Quinta are open seven days a week. If you are out and about, consider stopping in to give blood.
