Day of the Dead: That’s the theme for tonight’s second annual Halloween Walk in Morongo Valley. An alternative to knocking on stranger’s doors, Morongo Valley children age five and above, are invited to meet at the Geeson Ball Field on Park Blvd. for tonight’s haunted Halloween walk. The first walk starts at 6:30 p.m. with the last group finished by 8:30 p.m. Bring a small flashlight. No open-toe shoes and no dogs are permitted. The walk ends at the “trunk and treat” for sweets and treats. Sponsored by the Morongo Valley Community Services District and Fire Department, children under five can go directly to the trunk and treat. Parents and volunteers are needed on scene with their vehicle trunk decked out with treats and trinkets. Walk guide volunteers in costume are also needed; please report early to Geeson Field.
