Free Medicare counseling for seniors in Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms this Tuesday (11/26)

The Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program is holding a Medicare Annual Enrollment Clinic to help senior and disabled residents review Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans, review current medications, and answer questions. Appointments are needed for each individual to get personalized attention.

The sessions are this Tuesday, November 26th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A counselor will be available to help individuals understand benefits and enrollment, prescription drug plan coverage, Medicare Advantage plans, supplemental policies (Medigap), employee and retiree coverage, the Affordable Care Act, Medicare limited income assistance programs, and long-term care insurance, as well as provide legal assistance with Medicare appeals and administrative hearings.

The Council on Aging HICAP offers unbiased, individualized Counseling, community outreach, and public education about Medicare and other related health insurance topics. HICAP counselors are state-registered staff and volunteers trained to answer your health insurance questions free of charge.

Yucca Valley: They will be in Yucca Valley at the Senior Center at 57088 Twentynine Palms Highway.

Twentynine Palms: Counseling will be at the Senior Center, 6539 Adobe Rd, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Call to see if appointments are available. 760-367-5780.
