Tax Day is Tuesday, April 15th, and San Bernardino County is offering free IRS-certified tax preparation for eligible low to moderate income taxpayers.
If your earned income was less than $67,000 in 2024, you are eligible to receive free tax preparation services through the county’s Transitional Assistance Department’s voluntary income tax assistance program, or VITA.
Day and evening appointments are available Monday through Friday, and Saturday appointments are also available.
The free tax prep has a location in Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley as well as offices throughout the county. You’ll need to prepare your papers and make sure you have everything you’ll need to file – see below for a list.
