Food, music, classes and more at upcoming 27th Annual Orchid Festival

Food, music, classes, and much more will be at the 27 Annual Morongo Basin Orchid Festival at Gubler’s Orchids in Landers.

Learn more about Orchid species, drink specialized beers, and support the many non-profit organizations represented.

Relax by taking a fun class in caring for and cultivating orchid species. Take home an orchid or orchid arrangement. Classes are taught by the Orchid Society of Arizona and Riverside/San Bernardino Orchid Society at the Festival’s Pacific Western Bank Learning Center.

There is a small fee, and all proceeds support orchid education and the preservation of native orchid species.

There will also be food and beverage vendors and live musical entertainment.

The festival is Saturday, October 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2200 Belfield Blvd. in Landers.

Admission and parking are free.

Hilary Sloane
After a long successful career as a Photostylist and producer in New York and Los Angeles, Hilary Sloane moved to the Morongo Basin and began a new career as a journalist and documentary photographer, getting a journalism certification from Michigan State. Hilary is a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) and has documented the work of local and International non-profits. She has a podcast on Sound Cloud and is looking forward to adding more. Her favorite pastime is watching the wildlife around her home, traveling, and meeting new people.
