A community food giveaway is being held in Twentynine Palms tomorrow, June 9. Organized by Reach Out Morongo Basin with funding provided by the city of Twentynine Palms, the drive-thru event will provide boxes filled with canned goods, juice, cereal and more to households in need.
The event is open to all residents of Twentynine Palms, and proof of residency will be required. The giveaway begins at 8 a.m. Thursday and will last until 11:30 a.m. or until supplies run out at the Twentynine Palms Senior Center, located at 6539 Adobe Road. Organizers ask that cars line up on Cactus Drive east of Adobe and remind you that those who have already received a food box this month aren’t eligible for this distribution.
