STORY UPDATE (8/9/22):
A late-night fire in a Twentynine Palms garage last Tuesday (August 2nd) was quickly knocked back by firefighters – saving the attached home and stopping the spread to neighboring structures. However the two adults, a teenager and their four dogs lost everything in the fire and are looking for help starting over.
The family currently has a GoFundMe where they are seeking donations for home and living basics. The San Bernardino County Fire Department coordinated assistance for the family with the Red Cross immediately after the fire, and no cause for the fire has been determined.

Just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday (August 2) San Bernardino County Fire Department received a report of a building on fire in Twentynine Palms.
Firefighters arrived and saw smoke and flames coming from a garage attached to a home on the 70000 Block of Aladdin Ave. After determining that the occupants were not inside the home, firefighters from the Twentynine Palms, Joshua Tree and Combat Center fire stations extinguished the flames within 15 minutes – stopping the spread of the fire into the attached home and neighboring buildings.
Two adults and one teenager were displaced along with their four dogs. Assistance for the family was coordinated with the Red Cross. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
