Fifth annual Yucca Valley Film Festival names award winners

It’s a wrap for the fifth annual Yucca Valley Film Festival! With a large attendance of local film buffs as well as visiting Hollywood luminaries, this year hosted a bevy of cinematic masterpieces.

Amongst the festival award winners:

Hilary Sloane for Best Exhibiting Artist for her “White Rock Horse Rescue”
Skip Fredricks for Best Drone Film for “Trinity at Night”
Scott Seagren for Best Movie Poster for “Twenty One at Belle Saloon”
Josh S Rose & Hyunoh Chang for Best Visual Art / Dance Film for “The Man Who Couldn’t Clap”
Best Music Video went to Director Derek Hough & Director of Photography Michael Stine for Michael Buble’s “Higher”
George Tsereteli got Best Student Film for “Things to do Before You Turn 18”
Steve Petersen won 1st place Audience Vote for “Viva” with Nick Luciano taking the 2nd Place vote
Stephen Burns took home Best Script for “Ludlow”
Paul Hollingsworth got Best Animated Short Film for his “Weirdos”
Ev Durán received Best Documentary for “Bobcats: Football returns to Paradise”
Brian Katona got Best Music Composer for the score of “My Hatton”
Jake Myers received Best Director nods for “Kombucha!”
Best Short Film went to Tamiah Bantum for “Savage Dawn”
Chris Collins was the recipient of the Yucca Valley Award for “Z AE A 12”.
