Desert Christ Park in Yucca Valley holding clean-up this Saturday (3/29)

The iconic Desert Christ Park is holding a big clean-up this Saturday March 29th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Desert Christ Park was established in 1951 on the original five acres in Yucca Valley owned by the reverend Eddie Garver. Together with Frank Martin a sculptor and poet, a dream was realised and the statues of Christ and other Biblical figures made out of steel-reinforced concrete, were created and placed on Eddie’s land.

Surrounded by mountains and spectacular views, every few years the Park holds a big clean up, and this Saturday March 29th is your chance to join in. Any effort is helpful  and no participation is too small. All are welcome and your contribution to maintaining this historic place is very much appreciated.

While some tools and gloves will be available, it’s best to have your own and bring your enthusiasm too!

The clean-up will go from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Water will be provided throughout and there will be Pizza at noon for all those hungry helpers!

Desert Christ Park is located at 56-200 Sunnyslope Drive in Yucca Valley. Call 760-217-9089 for more information.
