Day of the Dead celebration at Joshua Tree Retreat Center on Saturday (11/2)

Celebrate the Day of the Dead event with Mil-tree on Saturday, November 2, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sanctuary at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center.

This event is in coordination with the Hay Festival, a month-long cultural celebration of the people of Aztlán.

There will be a Marigold seedling giveaway and fresh flowers to place on the community altar, along with garden rock painting and a sensory surprise.

After a long successful career as a Photostylist and producer in New York and Los Angeles, Hilary Sloane moved to the Morongo Basin and began a new career as a journalist and documentary photographer, getting a journalism certification from Michigan State. Hilary is a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) and has documented the work of local and International non-profits.
