COUNTY SAYS GET A BOOSTER SHOT

The County is urging residents to get a COVID-19 Booster Shot and get children vaccinated as the Omicron variant runs through California. The CDC expanded COVID-19 booster dose eligibility earlier this month to include anyone age 18 or older. Gary Daigneault tells us who is eligible.

A booster vaccine is recommended to maintain protection against COVID-19, including the Delta and Omicron variants. Boosters are now available if it’s been six or more months since your second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or it’s been two or more months since your dose of Johnson & Johnson. Eligible individuals are now allowed to mix and match their COVID-19 vaccine booster. Some people may prefer the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster. If you make an appointment at a county vaccine clinic or special pop-up event, bring your vaccine card. If you have lost your vaccine card, please see the links below.
