County offers free spaying and neutering for unincorporated areas

Residents of unincorporated areas like Landers, Flamingo Heights, the mesa, Wonder Valley, Joshua Tree and the Lucerne Valley are now eligible to receive some additional dough for spaying or neutering their cats and dogs.

The vouchers are worth 100 bucks for cats and 200 dollars for dogs and go toward making sure your pet is spayed or neutered. San Bernardino County Animal Care and the Pet Over Population Coalition – or POPCO – are providing the vouchers so folks in unincorporated areas can help control the pet population.

To request a voucher worth $100 for cats or $200 for dogs, you can call POPCO by calling 1-888-767-2550 or emailing [email protected]. To get more information about adoptable animals at local shelters call 1-800-472-5609.
