Among the many agenda items to be considered at tomorrow’s (May 7, 2024) 10 o’clock meeting of county supervisors in San Bernardino, two items are of special relevance to our Morongo Basin.
As the governing body for Inland Counties Emergency Medical Agency, Supervisors are expected to extend Hi-Desert Medical Center’s designation as a Level IV Trauma Center for an additional three years to June 2027. Then turning their attention to Twentynine Palms, the board is expected to decrease by $221,000 the amount of American Rescue Plan Act funding devoted to design of the sewer project there. The move is a reflection of project design cost savings.
More details on these items and information on how you can participate in tomorrow’s meeting can be found on the board of supervisors’ agenda which you can access at this link.
