The California Highway Patrol has announced that they will be on extra patrols during the busy Labor Day weekend – looking for traffic violations and assisting motorists, with a special emphasis on looking for drivers suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

If you are out traveling during the busy weekend, or Joshua Tree was your travel destination – make sure you stay safe with the extra traffic on the road along with the extra partying that comes with a long weekend. The CHP is partnering with the Nevada and Arizona Highway Patrol for a the tri-state enforcement initiative. That started last night and will continue on through Monday.
